Regional Plans

MacDonnell Regional Council engages its twelve Elected Councillors, thirteen Local Authorities, residents and staff through a process of assessing and refining a four year Strategic Plan that incorporates annual Regional Plans. Previously called a Shire Plan, the Regional Plan is refocused annually and initially presented to Council as a draft document that, following a 21 day period for public comments, is again considered by the Elected Councillors. The final Council approved Regional Plan is then tabled with the Northern Territory Government’s Minister for Local Government.

The Regional Plans provided below describe the vision, mission and values of our region and explains what we do, our operating environment for each projected period and how we plan to achieve our goals.
