President Anderson is stepping aside
11 February 2016
With a heavy heart Sid Anderson announced, to his fellow Councillors in their December meeting, his intention to resign as President. He described how he was no longer able to travel the necessary kilometres each year to attend meetings in the 13 sparsely located communities across Council’s quarter-million-square-kilometres. He will continue to serve as a Councillor and the timing of his announcement gives his fellow Councillors a good amount of time to organise a new leader to take them to the local government elections scheduled for August 2017.
