About Council
MacDonnell Regional Council (MRC) was established in 2008 and covers 13 major remote communities, as well as outstations and numerous enterprises in the pastoral, tourism and mining industries.
Council has 12 elected members in four wards, with councillors elected for a four-year term. The last election was held on August 28, 2021.
