Home Care Services

Home Care Services deliver aged and disability care programs in eight MacDonnell Regional Council communities as well as School Nutrition Programs in five of those locations. To assist in the delivery of optimum care to its residents MacDonnell Council works collaboratively and in partnership with other agencies in the area.

The Home Care Services programs are committed to maintaining strong local employment through on-going development, mentoring support and capacity building. To achieve this, training for all local teams is a high priority that delivers a 92% indigenous employment rate across the service. Other key achievements involve relationship building and upgrades to facility and operations that support the delivery and facilitation of this important service. Home Care Services seek opportunities that enable clients to have respite in their communities as well as developing its relationships with the Alice Springs Hospital Palliative Care team.
